Every great fairytale begins in a land far, far away, and Vig and Esha’s love story is no exception. Surrounded by 30 of their closest family and friends, they celebrated the start of their next chapter together in the enchanting setting of Forest, Virginia. The Vaughn House—a charming and intimate venue perfect for micro weddings—set the stage for their unforgettable two-day celebration filled with cherished traditions, both old and new.
Their happily-ever-after began on a Friday evening at the Vaughn House with a warm welcome for their loved ones who had traveled from near and far. The evening was alive with laughter as guests played lawn games, mingled, and shared introductions—many meeting for the first time. The couple honored traditional pre-wedding rituals, including Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies, which were beautifully infused with joy and color. After a delicious dinner–including dosas stuffed with cheese & Nutella–heartfelt speeches by the bride’s father and close friends wrapped up the evening, leaving everyone eager for the festivities to come.
Saturday dawned bright and early, ushering in the day of the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. The air was electric with anticipation as Vig finally saw Esha for the first time, overcome with emotion and speechless at her beauty. In a ceremony filled with love and meaning, they were pronounced husband and wife, and their grand exit was nothing short of radiant—smiles that stretched wider than the sky.
Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a relaxed lunch before retreating to escape the midday heat. Later in the afternoon, they gathered once again for a modern Western-style ceremony, where Vig and Esha reaffirmed their vows in a beautifully personal and heartfelt exchange.
Dinner was planned under a magical light tunnel, but a sudden torrential downpour had other plans. Undeterred, the couple and their guests shifted to the covered pavilion, where they shared a cozy, candlelit meal. When the rain finally subsided, they ventured out to enjoy dessert beneath the twinkling lights of the tunnel—a picture-perfect ending to the evening.
Vig and Esha’s wedding was as much about the experience as it was about the memories they would take with them. Choosing a documentary-style photographer allowed them to remain fully present in each moment, trusting the photos to capture the genuine emotion and magic of their celebration. Their approach to prioritizing authenticity over perfection resulted in a collection of images that feel like stepping into a real-life fairytale.
