With a deep adoration for road trips, adventure, the mountains, and film photography, Christian and Melissa’s engagement session in Shenandoah National Park encapsulated the essence of their love.
Christian proposed to Melissa at Old Rag Overlook, making it a meaningful location for their engagement session. The scenic backdrop of the mountains was an obvious choice for capturing their love and connection on camera.
Golden hour began by casting a stunning array of colors over the mountains. The sun turned the world shades of orange, red, and yellow, creating a magical ambiance. By the end of the session, the sky transformed into the iconic blue and purple hues of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Their Shenandoah National Park engagement session included everything from cozying up on a blanket, dancing to Kacey Musgraves, cuddling up in their Subaru, to Christian doing one of his favorite things: taking pictures of Melissa on his flim camera.
This part was so much fun as I let Christian take control of the shoot and direct Melissa for his own photos. By integrating their favorite things, the session felt far more like a date night experience than a simple photoshoot. Melissa and Christian couldn’t stop giggling as they stared into each others eyes.
